ArtLinks Relaunches, Announces New Bursaries

On Wednesday 6th June ArtLinks, in association with the five Local Authority Arts Offices in Carlow, Kilkenny, Waterford, Wexford and Wicklow County Councils, launched its new website artlinks.ie along with its 2012 Artist’s Bursary Programme.
ArtLinks is a professional development support programme for established and emerging artists across all disciplines living in the five partner regions. Established in 2007 ArtLinks has grown from being an information resource for artists in the South East to a defined programme designed to support artists and to assist them develop their practice for future sustainability. The programme provides supports including mentoring, networking, bursaries and professional development programmes for its members.
ArtLinks Bursaries are offered on an annual basis to ArtLinks members. The Bursary Programme supports artists via three separate awards:
- Emerging Artist Award
- Professional Development Award
- Collaborative Award
The closing date for receipt of Bursary Award Applications is 12 noon on Friday 6th July 2012.
Artists interested in applying for an ArtLinks Bursary should log on to www.artlinks.ie to download the application form. Artists need to be a member of Artlinks, or renew their previous membership to be included in the application process, so registration on the new www.artlinks.ie is essential.
Membership is free and is open to qualifying Professional and Emerging Artists who are resident within the five Local Authority County Councils of; Carlow, Kilkenny, Waterford, Wexford and Wicklow.
